Celtic B’s season performance so far

The KDM Evolution Trophy underwent a serious transformation that now sees the format mirror the Champions League and Europa League.

The first stage of the competition is a league phase with 30 teams vying for the top 22 places, which guarantees entry to the round of 32.

The bottom eight teams are eliminated from the competition, with Celtic B currently sitting just three places and two points above the drop zone.

Celtic B, led by Stephen McManus, have won two of their five league phase games so far, and play East Kilbride next in the tournament.

As far as league action is concerned, Celtic B are in 10th spot after 12 games so far. They beat Berwick Rangers 3-1 in their last outing, but that came after a six-match winless run.

Before that drab run, they went unbeaten in their opening six fixtures, scoring an incredible 18 goals.

Celtic B’s next game is on Saturday at home to Bo’ness United. Kick-off is at 15:00 BST.
