‘If that was out in the street you’d get the jail’ – Celtic fans fume at referee decision

Celtic returned to winning ways in the league yesterday with a 1-0 victory over Aberdeen.

Scott Sinclair’s goal was enough to separate the two sides and Celtic bounced back from last weekend’s draw with Kilmarnock.

But one of the main talking points of the game was not to do with the goal.

Rather, Celtic fans have been discussing Scott McKenna’s wild tackle on Odsonne Edouard.

The tackle

Edouard was heading towards goal when McKenna comes flying in with a reckless challenge.

However, referee Bobby Madden did not see it as a foul. He waved play on and Edouard had to come off injured shortly after.

Many Celtic fans thought differently to Madden and the referee came in for a lot of criticism.
