When Celtic win 7-0 it’s easy to get caught up in the goals scored. A few of yesterday’s were absolute beauties.
From Giorgos Giakoumakis’ delightful narrow-angle finish to Matt O’Riley’s top corner stunner – Celtic supporters were undoubtedly entertained.
However, when watching Celtic’s unique angle footage of the encounter it’s not these sequences that give me the most satisfaction – it’s what happens after each goal.
The one thing I’m taking away from this is the presence of Josip Juranovic and how much of a unifying force he must be in the Celtic dressing room.
He’s not only heavily involved in every celebration, it looks like he is going out of his way to individually make each goalscorer and teammate feel great about themselves.
This may not be a conscious choice – it may just be his natural character. Either way – it doesn’t matter. This is the kind of spirit you need in a winning dressing room.
Callum McGregor is a natural captain who leads by example – a beacon for the hard work, skill and mentality you need to be a successful Celtic player. In many ways, he is the conduit for Ange from his instructions to what we see on the pitch.
Juranovic is performing a different role here, but one just as important for bonding a squad together. He’s helping to create an environment in which his teammates can thrive.
It’s the kind of thing we witnessed from another right-back at Celtic over the last decade – Mikael Lustig.

Juranovic is performing that kind of part and it’s a testament to the manager’s signing policy of only signing personalities he feels can fit into his way of working.
Postecoglou is as good a judge of character on that front than scouting a player’s ability.
As for the Croatian, put simply, he loves his teammates and loves playing for Celtic!
