In the early part of the season the Celtic support seem to be getting fully behind Neil Lennon’s reign as Celtic boss.

The last example of this is that tickets are sold out for the league curtain-raiser against St Johnstone on Saturday.

Normally you would expect the first game of the season to be sold out. However, the feat still impressive.

Particularly when you consider that the Hoops have a huge Champions League qualifier against Cluj at Celtic Park only 10 days later.

The announcement follows up an earlier sell-out against Sarajevo.

Two sell-outs at this early stage of the season is commendable. The fans should be applauded for their locality to the side.

Some fans may have decided to skip the league opener, in favour of the qualifier. However, that does not look to be the case.

The fans seem determined to support Neil Lennon’s side so far this season. That can only be a good thing, particularly during the early part of the season.

Everyone at Celtic will need to pull together to ensure that the club reach the Champions League group stages. It would not be a surprise to see the Cluj game sell out, no matter the result in the first leg.

The Hoops need the fans to get behind them at this early stage of the season. It is good to see the fans doing so in great numbers.
