The Green Brigade have promised Celtic supporters “the largest tifo ever produced at Hampden” on Saturday for the Scottish Cup Final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The fan group have already produced grand spectacles on a massive scale this season, with full-stadiums displays at Celtic Park wowing everyone in attendance and watching on from home.
The latest at Hampden looks set to be no less special with tifo extending from the Celtic end in the east stand all the way across to the west stand curve for the final.
The group have asked fans to ensure to take their seats early and raise their material as the team emerges from the tunnel for the 5:30pm kick-off. It’s sure to be quite a sight.
Excitement is building for the final as Ange Postecoglou’s Bhoys shoot for a world-record eighth treble at the expense of the Highlanders. Nothing is guaranteed, but the team are red-hot favourites to lift the trophy and send the support into a jubilant summer.
There’s a fair amount of anxiety out there right now about Postecoglou’s future and links with Tottenham Hotspur, but nobody will let that ruin the occasion on Saturday.
MORE CELTIC STORIES
Celtic have the vast majority of the stadium to show their colour and make some noise, with Inverness CT selling just over 6,000 tickets. They handed back thousands of briefs to the Scottish FA which were promptly put on sale and sold out by Celtic.
Setting the tone with another inspirational, large-scale tifo effort is the best way to help the team start the game strongly and on the front foot. If the team can perform as they did against Aberdeen last weekend, there should be no stopping our march towards a famous treble.
Then, the party could really get started.
In other news, Celtic’s superb season ticket deal is almost too good to turn down.
