Celtic have confirmed ticketing details for our upcoming trip to Pittodrie.
Brendan Rodgers’ men begin their Premiership campaign at home to Ross County on Saturday before travelling to Aberdeen the following Sunday.
There has been a fair bit of intrigue about the allocation we would receive for Pittodrie. Over the summer, it was suggested that the Dons were set to “slash away allocations” with Celtic‘s following having the potential to go as low as 300.
Aberdeen, themselves, mentioned the 300 number in a club statement so people were certainly keen to know how many we’d get for our upcoming visit.
On Thursday afternoon, the answer was revealed. Celtic announced that the club had received an allocation of 1,668 for the match. (Celtic FC Tickets)
1,668 is the exact number that we received for our last visit to Pittodrie in December. (Celtic FC Tickets)

So the allocation hasn’t moved at all despite the summer fears. Aberdeen’s statement also mentioned that it was their intention to “hold discussions with some of our SPFL Premiership colleagues about reciprocal allocations”.
Basically, if clubs give them a healthy allocation for away games, they’ll look more favourably on them for Pittodrie tickets.
Given that the Celtic allocation hasn’t changed from last season, it seems like Aberdeen are happy with the arrangements for games in Glasgow.

By the way, your chances of getting a ticket for the Hoops end for next Sunday are still pretty small.
Tickets are being balloted amongst season ticket holders who attended 14 or more away games last season. That’s a tough ask.
