It remains to be seen if Celtic will land reported right-back target George Baldock. Sheffield United are reportedly keen to keep the player at the club.

However, other reports have claimed that the player would like to make the move to Glasgow.

There is one thing that could swing any potential deal in Celtic’s favour though. The player’s contract status.

If he can’t agree a deal with Sheffield United, perhaps they would be forced to sell the player. That could let Celtic in to get the player signed up.

Weigh up important factor

However, the player will need to weigh up that factor with the chance of playing in the Premier League. For most players that would be more interesting than playing in Scotland.

Still, it is encouraging to see that Celtic are trying to sort out the right-back position at the club. For too long it has been an issue.

It looks as af Neil Lennon wants a right-back in at Celtic as soon as possible. Will the player be George Baldock? Only time will tell.

It seems that Sheffield United are determined to keep the player. It will be interesting to see what happens next. The fact that he is reportedly open to a move wil encourage the Hoops.
