Celtic are on the verge of setting an unwelcome record.
The BBC has revealed that should the Hoops draw 0-0 with Kilmarnock on Saturday, it will be the first time the club has had three consecutive 0-0 draws in the league since the formation of either the SPFL or the Scottish Premiership.
The last time the Hoops drew three league games in a row was in December 2010. Ironically enough the Hoops were managed by current interim boss Neil Lennon.
An early goal is required

An early goal would do the trick nicely for the Bhoys against Kilmarnock. These haven’t materialised in the draws with Aberdeen and Livingston, and as a result the Hoops have struggled to break down packed defences.
It would not be a good look for Neil Lennon if the Hoops set this unwanted record. For a start it would cast doubt on his managerial abilities.

Another stalemate delays title glory
It would also mean that the Hoops have still to clinch the league title, if they are held to another draw.

Any win will do on the day for Celtic. Three points would mean that only one more point is required to secure the league title.
A scrappy 1-0 victory might not be the most exciting of results. However, it would get the job done for the Hoops. At this time of the season that is all that is required.
