Celtic seem to have overcome the departure of Brendan Rodgers, and are now concentrating on winning the league for the eighth season in a row.

The Hoops have an eight point lead over bitter rivals Rangers, and with only five games left before the league splits, the Bhoys will be wanting to win every match up until then.

Some of the games will be more difficult than others, and here we look at the three of the remaining fixtures which would all but guarantee eight in a row with three victories.

1. CELTIC V ABERDEEN (9.3.19)

Neil Lennon’s return to Celtic Park will no doubt be an emotional day for all involved. It is all about the football though, and the Hoops won’t have it easy against a determined Dons side. Derek McInnes’ side usually put up a fight, and the Hoops only won 1-0 when the teams met in September. However, Aberdeen could have one eye on their upcoming Scottish Cup replay with Rangers, and the Hoops are well capable of taking advantage.

2. CELTIC V RANGERS (31.3.19)

The Hoops will be out for revenge following their dismal performance in the 1-0 defeat at Ibrox in December. This game will be different from the last Glasgow derby in one notable aspect – Neil Lennon will be in charge. He knows what it takes to defeat Rangers. There is no doubt he will have the team fired up for the game. Three points for the Hoops in this game would all but end any talk about a title race.

3. ST MIRREN V CELTIC (3.4.19)

This could be one of the toughest games the Hoops play between now and the end of the season. Oran Kearney has St Mirren playing well, and they are in the middle of a tight relegation battle. They will be fighting for the points just as much as the Hoops will be. Celtic could only draw 0-0 at St Mirren Park earlier this season, so the players will be under no illusion about how difficult it will be to pick up the points.
