Vakoun Issouf Bayo admits he needs to learn Celtic dance

Vakoun Issouf Bayo’s dancing certainly couldn’t have gone unnoticed yesterday.

Celtic players flocked to the supporters after securing a massive 1-0 win at Kilmarnock. As is the norm for big matches, the Hoops did one of their most famous post-match celebrations as they jumped up and down with joy.

Or most of them did anyway. Bayo, on the other hand, clearly didn’t have a clue what he was doing, as you can see from the video below.

The big striker certainly looks out of place in about all of that joyful celebrating.

And Bayo has even admitted it himself on Instagram. As he posted on social media last night, the former Dunajska Streda forward admitted he needs to get to grips with the post-match dance ASAP.

Didn’t see enough of him on the pitch

Bayo, of course, only came on in the dying moments of the contest at Rugby Park. Celtic fans didn’t get anywhere near a proper view of him given how desperate the situation was yesterday.

What was noticeable was that he was constantly in the box in the closing moments. His game doesn’t particularly look suited to drifting out wide, and he certainly never done any of that against Killie.

John Kennedy stated after Bayo signed that he would add a physical element to Celtic’s game. He could give Celtic something a tad more useful from corner-kicks. It’s fair to say he was always sniffing in the penalty box yesterday as Celtic peppered the area with cross balls.

But it’s difficult to judge anything we saw of Bayo, outside of his dancing of course.

The £2million buy from Slovakia has, at the very least, finally made his debut. After a month or so of getting him up to speed, this at least gives Celtic another option up top to mix things up.
