Kyogo Furuhashi is back in amongst the goals at Celtic and couldn’t be more delighted if the post-match scenes at Fir Park are anything to go by.

It threatened to be another frustrating night for the Japanese international, who missed two good chances and hit the bar with a stunning long-range shot in the first half. However, he capitalised on Liel Abada’s shot cannoning off the woodwork to score his eighth goal of the season and Celtic’s fourth of the night.

After the match, he was urged to face the Celtic supporters on his own by manager Ange Postecoglou, with the Bhoys boss clearly wanting him to soak up the confidence of the away fans. Premier Sports have uploaded footage of the celebrations, which you can see embedded below or via Twitter.

It’s a brilliant moment and hopefully the catalyst for another sustained period of form for Kyogo. He was lightning at the start of the season, quickly scoring five goals. However, tonight’s effort was only his second since the end of August.

You did get the sense he has been suffering from a bit of self-doubt in recent weeks, or at least that was the perception, and with some big matches ahead, it’s great to see him finally break that narrative.

The same could be said for Liel Abada, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Daizen Maeda, all of whom have found the back of the net again in the last two matches.

Celtic’s attack finally isn’t looking anaemic anymore. It’s dangerous and capable. Opposition teams certainly don’t relish facing the Bhoys on this kind of form.

Fans have been behind these players throughout this period. Especially those attending games. Nobody’s turned on the team or the manager, and now they’re getting back to the exciting football and finishing we’ve come to expect, then it’s only right the love is shared.

Here’s hoping for more on Saturday against Hearts!
