Reo Hatate scored from a low shot outside of the box to put Celtic 1-0 up in tonight’s frantic derby at home to Rangers.
Then he scored another to make 2-0. Then he assisted the third goal as Liel Abada continued his fine scoring form.
Hatate has quickly made himself a hero with the Hoops support since arriving from Japan, scoring against Hearts at Tynecastle and now against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s outfit at home, twice.
The first effort came as a Celtic corner broke down to the edge of the box, with the midfielder having all the time in the world to guide a shot on target and past Allan McGregor, via a slight deflection.
Celtic posted the goal on their official social media account via this link, which you can also see embedded below.
Celtic continued to press the advantage after this goal, creating a number of chances only for Rangers to be bailed out by Allan McGregor. Finally though, the Bhoys found finishes their chances.
Hatate scored a pearler from distance to outfox McGregor. Then the Japanese midfielder curled in a beautiful cross from the left-hand side. Abada made no mistake.
