Post-match scenes have emerged from Pittodrie as Celtic celebrated with supporters after a rollercoaster result.
The Hoops managed to secure a monumental 3-2 success over the Dons and bag a result that keeps them a point clear at the top of the Premiership.
As as we begin to dissect everything about tonight’s incredible encounter, footage has emerged on Twitter of the Bhoys celebrating with their fans in brilliant scenes:
Tonight’s result came about thanks to a superb brace from Jota combined with Matt O’Riley’s first goal for the club. It was also yet another tricky away game ticked off the calendar for Ange Postecoglou’s Bhoys.
Celtic will now have an 11-day break from Premiership action, with fixtures coming up in both the Scottish Cup and Europa Conference League before their next league clash at home to Dundee.
Next up for the Hoops is Raith Rovers in the Scottish Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Celtic show title-winning qualities on a huge night
It’s difficult to know what to feel after that tonight. Relief? Euphoria? Satisfaction? It’s really all a mixture of all of it considering how big a night this is for the football club.
As poor as Aberdeen have been this season, they were never going to cave in to Celtic so easily. Even after we went 2-0 ahead, you still felt that the Dons would try and lay a glove at some stage. They did that, and from there on in it was all about how Celtic reacted.
And that’s where the joyous part of tonight comes in. This is the first time in 2022 that Celtic have had to battle some real adversity. We lost 2 poor goals to set-pieces and managed to retake the lead instantly. Just as important was how easily we saw the match afterward.

We’ve managed to grind it out at a place where Rangers dropped 2 precious points. You’ve got rest easy after that even if tonight was a reminder that we won’t get everything our own way.
In truth perhaps the goals we lost tonight will be a blessing. It’s a timely warning for the Bhoys not to get overly-complacent. Not to behave as though games have been won before the full-time whistle is blown.
But ultimately we got the job done. That’s all that matters, and Celtic supporters have every right to celebrate it.
