Stephen Welsh has opened up on Ange Postecoglou’s demands of Celtic intensity after Saturday’s brilliant 6-0 win over St Mirren.
Celtic made it two wins from three in the league and now have an incredible +11 goal difference after thumping the Buddies and Dundee.
Racking up the goals is only possible with full work ethic from the first minute to the last.

However, on Saturday, the team may have been forgiven had they taken their foot off the gas at half-time, given they were 4-0 up and the visitors had a man sent off.
Intent remained in the second half, with the Bhoys going on to score a further two goals, as well as look for more right until the end.
Welsh has credited Postecoglou’s message at half-time in the dressing room for inspiring that.
Speaking to The Scottish Daily Mail [23/08 print edition, Verdict supplement page 7], the defender said: “The intensity was there right until the end.
“That’s what the gaffer said at half-time. Even though we were four goals up and they were a man down, he said that the next 45 minutes we had to keep up that intensity, show a level and show how good we were.
“I thought we did that. We could have scored more goals but winning 6-0, you’ll definitely take that.
“We’ve brought in new players as well who have now adapted to the system. They’ve adapted to the system that we want to play very well and I think it suits them — fast, high-paced, intensity.”

I have full belief the team will perform in exactly the same manner against AZ Alkmaar and Rangers this week. Those are tougher tests for sure, but Ange only knows one way.
At the very least, we know Celtic are going to go into every single match fighting for their lives. It might not always come off, but it’s going to be hugely entertaining to watch.
In other news, Celtic release statement condemning “sickening and pathetic racist behaviour”.
