Celtic fans absolutely loved the contribution of striker Albian Ajeti today after he started and scored against Livingston in the Scottish Premiership.

Ajeti was preferred to Odsonne Edouard in attack as the Frenchman was rested on the bench.

The Swiss international made his presence felt with some smart interplay in the first half, before showing off his deadly finishing skills after the interval.

He latched on to a class Ryan Christie through-ball to clinically score past Robby McCrorie between the Livingston sticks.

It’s his fourth goal in seven matches since making the switch from West Ham United, though some of those have been short cameos from the bench.

The £5m that Celtic paid for him (Scottish Sun) is beginning to look very cheap indeed when you look at some of the other deals in today’s transfer market.

With another match under his belt, the striker’s fitness is only improving too and I can’t wait to see the player at full strength and getting consistent starts in Neil Lennon’s team.

Lennon said again pre-match that the ultimate aim is for him to partner Edouard.

The duo complements each other well and clearly have the firepower to launch us towards more trophy success this season.
