‘What a baller’: Gustaf Lagerbielke seriously impressed by his Celtic teammate v Hearts

Matt O’Riley scored his sixth goal of the season for Celtic on Sunday as Brendan Rodgers watched his side ease to a 4-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle.

Even though Gustaf Lagerbielke wasn’t part of the Celtic squad yesterday, he was still watching on and he was left impressed by his ever-improving teammate – and so was Celtic-mad Trevor Sinclair.

Matt O’Riley reacted on Instagram to the win, as he praised Tomoki Iwata for his first goal after he added the cherry on top of the cake from the bench.

In the comments section of Matt O’Riley’s IG post, Gustaf Lagerbielke labelled the 22-year-old a ‘baller’.

Joe Hart also reacted by sending a fire emoji to the player, whilst the fans were heaping praise on yet another top performance.

What a week it has been for Matt O’Riley, who was called up to the Denmark senior squad last week and now he’s continuing to boss it for Celtic.

The player himself deserves huge credit because, after his performances last season, he has taken his game up a level under Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic getting better

The goals are flowing in all over the shop to the point that Reo Hatate can miss a penalty, yet the team can still walk away with four goals.

Many expected the Bhoys to secure the three points at Tynecastle, but some would have expected it to be a tougher test, yet that was nowhere near the case.

And, so far, it is a massive tick in the box in what is the biggest week of the season so far.

It continues when Spanish giants Atletico Madrid travel to Glasgow for a very important Champions League tie.

Those first three points need to be registered as soon as possible, and given how the team is performing in the final third, then there aren’t any excuses not to get on the scoresheet.
