Wilfried Nancy ‘chaos ball’ to decide a ‘great game’ as 67 Hail Hail writers predict Motherwell vs Celtic

Celtic fans have been treated to some very good attacking football of late from Wilfried Nancy’s side coupled with some squirming defensive blunders.

Nancy has got his team scoring with seven goals from the last two fixtures as Celtic beat Livingston and Aberdeen to close the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

Despite creating plenty of chances, Nancy’s Celtic are also giving up plenty of opportunities for the opposition as Bhoys defeats to St Mirren, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Livingston and Hearts have proven.

With Hearts just three points ahead of Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, a win by five goals or more will take the Hoops above Derek McInnes’ side for the first time in months.

And as the Celtic manager looks to make it a hat-trick of wins against Motherwell tonight, the writers of 67 Hail Hail share their predictions on how they think the Bhoys will fare at Fir Park tonight.

Callum Boyle

Nancy ball is improving game by game. Yes we’re conceding, but we’re creating so much more and look like an entertaining side. Motherwell have been impressive though and I think it’ll be a close-scoring affair this time, with Benjamin Nygren the difference maker again.

Prediction: Motherwell 0-1 Celtic

Martin Crawford

Logic says this should be a great game – our last meeting with them definitely was. If our performances continue to trend like they are, we’ll come out on top. I’ll go for a 3-2 win, just like it was at Celtic Park. Nygren, McCowan and Yang scoring.

Amir Mir

No chance Celtic keep a clean sheet here, but they should score goals, and hopefully, there are a few mistakes in Motherwell to help Celtic out. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a draw, but will nudge towards a 3-2 Celtic win. Goals from McCowan, Maeda and Kenny.

Patrick Sinat

For all the talk that Motherwell are a good attacking side, Jens Berthel Askou’s team have only scored four goals in their last five games with three of them coming in the win over Livingston.

Having said that, Celtic are gifting goals to some of the worst performing teams in the league so the chances of Nancy keeping his first clean sheet are slim.

However, Celtic are starting to get in a groove and are finding the back of the net regularly so this will be a game of chaos ball with a high-scoring result.

Prediction: Motherwell 2 v 4 Celtic
