The issue of Celtic’s summer transfer window reared its head after the win over St Mirren at Parkhead yesterday.
It was clear to see that Brendan Rodgers’ team need a spark up top after Celtic toiled to beat St Mirren on the Flag Day opener.
The woodwork and poor finishing saved The Buddies on a few occasions inside Celtic Park but it was a late goal from substitute Luke McCowan that earned the three points on the season opener.
But the performance by Rodgers’ team sparked another Celtic transfer question and how Rodgers answered it had a BBC reporter in stitches.

Brendan Rodgers tells BBC reporter he’s ‘fed up’ talking about Celtic transfers
Everyone can see that Celtic’s attacking front line needs a fresh injection of quality, especially after losing Nicolas Kuhn to Como.
And it appears that another question about Celtic’s transfers inspired a hilarious reaction from the Hoops boss.
BBC Sportsound reporter Jane Lewis asked [26m], “We spoke pretty much about hoping to add to the squad, bringing in some quality. After watching that today, is there an area of priority?
“You’re giving me a big grin there.” laughing, “You’re not going to tell me, are you?”
Rodgers replied, “No, no, no, no. I’m fed up talking about transfers. I think we’ve got to the end of the window.
“So we’re concentrating on what’s here. A lot of work going on behind the scenes to improve the squad. And yeah, we’ll just enjoy this here.”
You can listen to the reaction below.
Celtic’s best player in St Mirren win will surprise fans, it wasn’t Kieran Tierney
There was really only one player who appeared to stand out during the game and it’s surprising Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers never mentioned this Hoops star.

However, according to Fotmob, it was Alistair Johnston who was Celtic’s star man and here is how the football ratings site evaluated the Hoops defender’s performance:
