Napoli are reportedly looking to pip Arsenal to Kieran Tierney by offering Celtic a £25m package.
According to the Daily Mail, Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti is a big fan of the Hoops full-back. They believe that Napoli have had Tierney watched on several occasions, and could be set to make an offer.
It’s important to mention that the reported package Napoli could offer isn’t a flat out £25m fee. Instead, it’s apparently a deal with several clauses that add up to that sum.

Napoli will be in next season’s Champions League once again, and that could prove a big lure for the current Celtic man. Tierney is also now back in Scotland as he looks to continue his rehabilitation back home.
Celtic have already rejected two bids from Arsenal for their prized asset. According to the Daily Mail, these were bids totaling up to £15m and £19m respectively. If Celtic still want that flat fee of £25m, they’re going to have to turn down any reported offer from Napoli along the lines reported.
Celtic could easily get £25m should they hold out
The bids Celtic are reportedly turning down aren’t too far away from the £25m mark. If that’s what the club truly value Tierney at, then they’re likely to try and hold out for that fee.
Celtic haven’t been taking any prisoners in the negotiations either by the looks of things. They have their valuation and are refusing to be rolled over by any so-called bigger clubs.

Clubs such as Napoli and Arsenal can also well afford to meet the £25m mark too. Celtic seem to understand the kind of gem they have on their hands, and it’s good to see the club being so strict in their valuation of him.
This is still a concerning saga in any case. With Napoli and Arsenal seriously sniffing around for Tierney, it’s really down to them whether they take him from us or not. They know the valuation, and it’s down to them if they want to reach it.

Any potential departure of our number one left-back will also have to see Celtic dip into the market for as strong a replacement as possible. That’s a task we could do without this summer, especially when we still need a couple of right-backs and one more centre-back too.
With a bit of luck, Celtic do scare both of the European big-hitters away this summer. Losing Tierney at the moment doesn’t bear thinking about.
