50 Cent has admitted that he has a soft spot for Celtic, all thanks to one of his close friends.
Celtic have a host of celebrity supporters ranging from Rod Stewart to Lana Del Ray and it seems 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, is joining the list.
The New York rapper is headlining TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow on 11 July in what will be his first Glasgow performance in almost 10 years.
While he won’t be able to get to Celtic Park this time, the rapper has admitted to being a fan of the Hoops because of one A-list star.

50 Cent wants to watch Celtic with lifelong fan Gerard Butler
Gerard Butler and 50 Cent worked together on the 2018 film Den of Thieves and formed a strong friendship.
Butler introduced Jackson to Celtic and his passion for the club rubbed off on the music legend.
Speaking to SunSport in 2024 he said: “Man, Gerard is crazy about Celtic. I don’t think I have ever met somebody more in love with their team.
“We are going to watch a Celtic game together. That guy won’t miss a game even when he’s shooting. He must go up another level when he’s actually at the stadium.”

This was the first time the rapper admitted to supporting a football team and joins a list of high-profile stars from across the pond who have an affinity for the Hoops.
Snoop Dogg has confessed his love for Celtic on multiple occasions as well as fellow rapper Coolio.
It’s not just in the US either, with A-listers all around the world admitting to either supporting or having a soft spot for the Hoops, cementing the club’s status as one of the biggest clubs in the world.
