Neil Lennon’s Celtic team will play in front of 5,000 and 4,500 crowds against Paris Saint-Germain and Lyon in France later this month, The Daily Record reports.

The Hoops are currently at Loughborough University’s sports complex in England preparing for the season starting in August.

After a week of hard work there they’ll be off to France to take part in a number of friendly matches ahead of the new Ligue 1 campaign.

Lennon’s side will play Lyon on July 16th and Nice on the 18th before making the trip to Parc des Princes in Paris to go toe-to-toe with PSG.

The Daily Record reports that Lyon will be allowing 4,500 into the Groupama Stadium, with PSG welcoming 5,000 home supporters for the game in the capital.

No away fans will be allowed admittance, the paper says.

It’s another promising sign that, slowly but surely, society in Europe is edging towards a bit of normality after the horrors of the ongoing pandemic.

Safety is still paramount, but if fans are being allowed into Celtic matches abroad, surely we can’t be far away from similar happening in Glasgow?

If the situation in Scotland continues to improve following the relaxation of lockdown measures, season tickets holders may not be very far away at all from watching the champions in person once again.

The mini-tour of France is shaping up to be an exciting few days.
