Celtic stars have been reacting on Instagram to the Hoops’ dominant 4-0 win over Motherwell in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals.

The Bhoys headed to Fir Park, looking to secure another trip to Hampden Park in January, as they took on the Steelmen for the second time within a matter of weeks.

Right from the off, Ange Postecoglou’s side showed their dominance, but it didn’t look as though it was going to pay off in the first 45 minutes.

However, Liel Abada produced a late first-half strike from a brilliantly worked team goal to hand the Hoops a well-deserved lead going into the break.

And the second 45 minutes produced more of the same Celtic dominance as Postecoglou’s squad kicked on and secured their place in the last four.

Goals from Abada, Reo Hatate and Kyogo Furuhashi gave the Bhoys an emphatic victory, setting up a semi-final against Kilmarnock at Hampden Park at the beginning of next year.

Several Celtic players took to Instagram to celebrate the victory, with the double goalscoring hero on the night, Liel Abada, simply putting “Next round 💚@celticfc

The 21-year-old’s performance was praised by many supporters after he once again showcased his brilliant knack in front of goal.

Celtic full-back Josip Juranovic appeared to be joining in the praise when he posted a picture alongside Abada with the caption: “Little bro! 🤝”

Whilst Kyogo Furuhashi also took to his Instagram story to congratulate the winger on another two goals, which took the duo level on strikes for the season.

Fellow Celtic full-back Greg Taylor is looking forward to another trip to the country’s national stadium, as he posted another simple caption, saying: “Back to Hampden ✅💚”.

With a green and white support of over 4,000 making their way to North Lanarkshire, Moritz Jenz was full of praise for the Parkhead faithful for their ‘incredible support’, stating: “Next round of the cup 💪🏾🍀, incredible support from our fans on a cold evening, thank you very much for coming and supporting us 🍀💚”.

There was also a rare appearance in the Premier Sports Cup for backup shot-stopper Ben Siegrist, who also expressed his thanks to the loud Celtic support behind the goal, posting: “Great Performance in front of the best fans 🍀Home away from Home 🍀”.

After securing a place in the semi-finals of this competition once again, the squad are clearly delighted to be edging closer to another opportunity of lifting silverware.

However, that game takes place in January, and there are plenty more important domestic games in between our visit to Hampden Park.

So, I am sure Ange Postecoglou would have allowed his squad to enjoy last night’s victory. But, with the reminder that we face another huge game on Saturday.
