AIK will be backed by a sizeable travelling support at Celtic Park on Thursday evening.
The Swedish champions are full of confidence after beating Moldovan champions FC Sheriff in the last round as they eye up a first group stage appearance since 2012.
And Rikard Norling’s side will have a big army of supporters travelling over from Scandinavia to support them. The club took to their official Twitter channel on Wednesday night to inform supporters that they had sold 1,177 tickets for the match.
It is not clear whether that is a final number but the club did say that fans could pick up tickets at Merchant Square on the day of the game.

AIK fans will make some noise at Celtic Park
The vocal away support should make for a good atmosphere in the East End of Glasgow. It’s not yet clear how many home tickets have been sold for the occasion but the stadium will be far from full.
It will be up to the players to get the atmosphere lifted as opposed to the other way round. Any slack passes are likely to be greeted with groans while the Swedes getting the opening goal could lead to a toxic atmosphere inside the stadium.
Things could threaten to get very ugly if Celtic don’t get the job done to a good standard. Hopefully the players can answer the recent criticism with a good performance and win.
