Nevertheless, the veteran attacker is sticking the boot into the Hoops before the all important qualifier. Elyounoussi believes AIK must take the big name out their head at kick off.

He told ABC Nyheter: “They have experience in Europe, but they have not been so good in recent years. We should not be dazzled by the name.”

The Hoops have only qualified for the Champions League twice in the last six years.

The previous two have seen the Hoops in the last 32 of the Europa League.

Heavy defeats to Zenit St Petersburg and Valencia have meant The Bhoys dropping out.

AIK narrowly defeated FC Sheriff Tiraspol in their last qualifier but at the weekend they were beaten in the league at home to Kalmar.

Elyounoussi brushes it aside: “It may be okay that we got one on the face. We can’t let ourselves down, but be on top all the time.”

“We should not be intimidated by the fact that they have many fans in the stands or a large stadium. We look forward to playing against Celtic.”

The Hoops mustn’t take any threat lightly ahead of the all important tie.

Failure to qualify for the Europa League will have the club in almost turmoil ahead of an important two weeks.

This is the match where the Hoops get the Cluj result out their system.
