Alan Brazil says he came to a realisation about Celtic while watching Feyenoord vs Aston Villa

Celtic were absolutely woeful on Thursday night.

The Hoops had the chance to register their first win of the Europa League campaign, but they failed miserably against Braga.

Celtic lost 2-0 as goals either side of half-time meant Brendan Rodgers has seen his side score just one goal in their last three matches.

Celtic are not in a great spot just now, with fan unrest with the board in the background and poor performances on the pitch in the foreground.

Now, Alan Brazil has summed up what he thinks of Celtic at the moment, using Feyenoord as a comparison.

Celtic-daft Brazil concedes Feyenoord are better than Celtic

Feyenoord were also in action on Thursday in the Europa League and hosted Aston Villa at their famous De Kuip stadium.

They lost 2-0 on the night with John McGinn scoring one of the goals, but talkSPORT host Brazil has suggested the Dutch side should still be proud of their performance.

He subsequently came to the realisation that Feyenoord are a better team than Celtic when really there should not be much between the two teams.

Brazil said on Friday morning: “Well, watching that Feyenoord vs Villa game, it was high tempo, it was good.

“It was quality and both sides had chances and I was thinking Feyenoord, they shouldn’t be any better than Celtic or Rangers. No, but they are.”

What Europa League fixtures remain for Celtic?

It’s an atrocious start for the Hoops in UEFA’s second tier competition with just one point earned from two games.

Celtic really need to be taking maximum points from their home games, especially against a team like Braga who the Bhoys made look like world beaters.

Here are the remaining Europa League fixtures for Celtic above. How many points can they realistically take from these games?
