Celtic look like they have acquired a rather high-profile new follower during their visit to Bosnia.
The Hoops support, no doubt a little tipsy following a few beverages, may have been rubbing their eyes when a major diplomatic leader entered their party.
The man in question was Albanian President Ilir Meta who had been in Sarajevo on business. He heard the noise of the Celtic support and wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
And judging by the video he posted on his Twitter account, he quite enjoyed what he saw.
When you get carried away by the #PartyAtmosphere!😁 #Extraordinary moments today in #Sarajevo with @CelticFC🍀fans, before the first qualifying round of @ChampionsLeague. There was also a toast for #RudiVata, our #NationalTeam🇦🇱⚽ and @CelticFC🍀star. pic.twitter.com/KObYIpn33H

Sarajevo trip will have been well worth it for supporters
Celtic only had a small support inside the Asim Ferhatovic Hase Stadium but they still made themselves heard throughout the 90 minutes. Getting to Sarajevo can’t have been easy for the majority of the fans but they will be well glad they did given the second-half showing.
Hopefully Celtic can really kick on and end this barren away Champions League record. Yes, the qualifiers are a different kettle of fish to group stage games but a lot of the same principles still apply.
Sarajevo may not be a great side but Celtic could still have crumbled when they went behind last night. Instead they showed real guts to drag the game back and effectively kill off the tie before next week’s return leg.
