One of Celtic’s official Twitter channels are clearly keen to cash in on the Green Brigade’s big Hampden campaign.

This Sunday, Celtic face Rangers at the National Stadium with a place in the Scottish Cup final on the line.

It is sure to be a huge afternoon, with the Celtic support once again set to play their part.

A fortnight ago, the Green Brigade made the request that Celtic fans wear green and white hoops to the big Hampden semi.

They urged supporters going to the game to wear the colours with pride as well as bringing scarves, flags and banners.

The campaign has ramped up since. At Saturday’s draw with Motherwell, there were multiple banners with the tagline ‘Wear the hoops’ displayed. (North Curve Twitter)

There have also been a number of tweets on the North Curve’s timeline in the days since, all urging Celtic fans to wear the hoops at Hampden.

And the official ‘Celtic FC Shop’ Twitter account has even got in on the action.

They recently tweeted: “Semi-Final Essentials! Wear the Hoops for Hampden this weekend, don’t miss out on FREE UK Delivery.”

The photo attached was of a Celtic bucket hat, scarf and home shirt, all of which were green and white.

So even an official club Twitter feed is carrying the “wear the hoops” message.

Let’s just hope for some sunny weather and plenty of Celtic goals come the weekend.
