Celtic’s 2-1 win over Lazio in the Europa League on Thursday night was one of the Hoops’ most impressive wins in Europe for years.

It not only sealed the team’s place in the last 32 of the Europa League, but it was also Celtic’s first ever win in Italy, a remarkable achievement when you look at Celtic’s history in Europe.

Unsurprisingly, many people associated with Celtic took to social media to celebrate in the aftermath of the win. Celtic fans also delivered their verdict on the game following the victory.

One such person was Liverpool’s Champions League winner Andy Robertson, who is a noted Celtic fan. Indeed, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp once described Robertson as a ‘massive, massive, Celtic fan.’

Robertson took to social media shortly after the game to deliver his three-word verdict on the victory.

“What a result” was his verdict on the game.

Robertson will have been delighted to see Celtic make the progress they have in Europe this season. Who knows, perhaps the Hoops can follow in the path of his Liverpool team and reach the latter stages of European competition.

It might be expecting a bit much for Celtic to win the Europa League. However, after two wins in a row over Lazio the Hoops have no reason to fear any team that they come up against in the tournament.

Celtic fans deserved to bask in the glory of the win. It is good to see that Robertson was as happy as the rest of the Hoops support.
