Being one of the best left-backs in the world, there are probably not too many football heroes that Andy Robertson would get nervous meeting.
The Scotland captain had rubbed shoulders with the best since signing for Liverpool in 2017. He even rubbed heads with Lionel Messi back in last season’s Champions League final. Luis Suarez was also on the end of some of the defender’s ‘charm’ back in May. Yet there’s one man who he would still love to meet.
“I supported Celtic, and I’ve never met Henrik Larsson,” Robertson told MOTDx.

“So if I met him I think I’d need to say ‘look, come on and let’s get a picture’.
“I’d photoshop his dreadlocks back on.”
Robertson remembering Larsson says a lot about both
Robertson and Larsson are likely to meet at some point in the future. The pair dine at the majority of the top tables in European football and some sort of upcoming interaction is likely.

Robertson’s rise from part-time to world-class footballer is well documented but it’s interesting nonetheless. The 25-year-old never played for the full Celtic first-team but the work of the club’s Academy still can’t go unnoticed.
He’s turned into one of the top footballers in Europe. The fact he would still be in awe at a meeting with the King of Kings says a lot about both him, and the former Celtic striker.
