Andy Walker thinks Harry Kewell might be heading out of Celtic amid interest in his coaching services.
The links tie in with Ange Postecoglou’s former club – Yokohama F. Marinos – who are coached by Kevin Muscat and he has now decided to resign.
The J1 League side, who are sitting second in the division, are now on the lookout for a new coach and Harry Kewell is one of the contenders (Glasgow Live).
The 45-year-old is currently part of Brendan Rodgers’ coaching staff and he is hoping to guide Celtic to another Scottish Premiership crown this season.
Aside from the huge disappointment of the 2-1 defeat to Kilmarnock on Sunday, the team have faired well for most parts of the season on the domestic stage.
Either way, upon hearing about the rumours about Harry Kewell possibly heading for the exit door, this is what Andy Walker had to say about it all on Go Radio.
Harry Kewell to Yokohama F. Marinos?
“He is obviously familiar with that part of the world, if he wants to go and do his own thing,” said Walker.
“I don’t think anyone would stand in his way. I don’t know if Celtic would want to bring anyone in to replace him. They seem to have a number of good coaches there.”

Harry Kewell’s coaching career
The Australian had a pretty solid playing career, including representing the young and vibrant Leeds United team of the 90s and also the might of Liverpool.
His coaching career, in terms of first-team manager, hasn’t gone as well as he would have liked, with a number of sackings in recent years.
From Crawley Town to his last managerial stint at Barnet which lasted less than 12 months, perhaps it’s time for Kewell to knock on that door again?
Working under Postecoglou, and now under Rodgers, those are two high-quality and trophy-winning coaches with attacking styles.
You would imagine he would have learnt a lot from these stints and it probably stands him in good stead to go again.
