Joe Hart has been speaking about the exit of Ange Postecoglou from Celtic.

The goalkeeper was brought to the club by the Australian in August 2021 and went on to be his number one, winning five domestic trophies during a terrific two-year spell.

Postecoglou left Celtic to move to Tottenham Hotspur last month, with Brendan Rodgers succeeding him in the dugout.

Hart was speaking to the media on Thursday, and the first question asked him for his thoughts on the big summer change.

“We shared two really special years together,” he said, as shown on the Celtic YouTube channel.

“Obviously very successful, and with success people are very interested in what you’re going to be doing next.

“Ange had a decision to make and he made it. We absolutely loved working under him. I really enjoyed my time personally.

“I really get on with him as a person and wish him all of the best.

“But football’s got this magical way of keeping moving. Next we get the news that Brendan’s coming in and we’ve got a new focus and a new task.”

The answer was everything you would expect from a consummate professional like Hart. He didn’t give the media any needless headlines to run with, but equally didn’t overdo his praise for Postecoglou.

He firmly closed the Aussie’s chapter at Celtic and spoke about a need to refocus under new management.

As the keeper says, things move on. Now Rodgers is the man with the power at Celtic. You won’t find too many people still talking about Postecoglou once the competitive action gets underway.

Hart has been an important figure over the last two years and that will continue this coming season.

The Englishman has just one more year remaining on his contract at Celtic. As we covered yesterday, it seems like he’s ready to enjoy every minute of it.

We can’t wait to see him and the rest of the squad back in action.
