Ange makes Celtic Lennoxtown admission; welcome change around the corner
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has admitted it’s been quite a while since he’s been able to do any sort of training at Lennoxtown other than recovery.
The Bhoys players have been given the week off ahead of the new year. The squad will return to the training centre next Monday and be put through their paces under Postecoglou.
A schedule of almost constant mid-week to weekend matches has left little room for working on tactical nuances. Far from being a ‘break’, the upcoming period may be one of the most important of the season.
Real Celtic training is about to begin
Asked when the last time was he was able to training with freedom, Postecoglou told The Glasgow Times: “It’s been a while to be fair. It’s kind of been game-recovery for quite a while now.
“Just to be able to work with the players and work on our game and keep pushing and helping our game, it’s going to be a crucial time for us and for the players.
“No breaks. We keep cracking on. There is plenty to do.”

Postecoglou has had international breaks to put real work into the players, but that has been without key talents such as Callum McGregor, Tom Rogic, Kyogo Furuhashi and others.
This time, the whole squad will be able to work on team progress for the first time since the summer.
We could be about to see the most significant changes to Postecoglou’s tactics and team selections since coming into the club
