The official arrival of Ange Postecoglou in Glasgow has certainly increased the excitement levels amongst the Parkhead support.

Celtic confirmed Postecoglou had touched down in Scotland after a self-isolation period in London. They stated that the new manager would take his first training session at Lennoxtown tomorrow. This means he’ll have 12 days working with the team before they head down to Wales for their pre-season camp.

Ever since his appointment a couple of weeks ago, there’s been a bit of a lull around the football club. A sense that work has been stalling given the restrictions the new boss has been working under.

However, all of that is set to change tomorrow. Postecoglou will take his spot at Lennoxtown, introduce himself to the players, and start getting to grips with who he wants to keep and who’s for the off.

Whilst transfer work has been going on in the background, Postecoglou may have been hesitant to make big moves too quickly. Given he won’t have actually seen the players up close, you could understand any hesitancy.

Celtic ready to press ahead now that Ange Postecoglou is in Glasgow

Now there’s nothing holding Celtic back from pressing ahead. Nothing stopping them from making formal offers for players and for the manager to put his own stamp on the squad.

You could perhaps forgive the lack of urgency since Postecoglou’s appointment. Wanting him to introduce himself to the squad is a valid reason for holding off on other priorities.

However, now we’ll see just how prepared Celtic are for the summer. We’ll see just how far on we’ve actually come with our recruitment work over the last several weeks.

Even with the colossal amount of work ahead of us in the coming months, the Celtic fans are incredibly upbeat about the future. We’re now being struck with that wave of optimism that can only come with a new man in the dugout.

And supporters have been feeling Ange fever today as they reacted to his arrival in Glasgow:

In other news, the Scottish media has been called out in Australia for their reaction to Postecoglou.
