Ange Postecoglou continues to refuse to be drawn into the trash talk of a title race, giving a perfect response to BBC Radio Scotland after today’s Celtic match.

The Bhoys have moved six points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership following a dominant display over Ross County at Celtic Park – one of the form teams in the division right now.

With Rangers set to play away to Dundee tomorrow after their gruelling European exploits, eyes are on the fixture as a potential slip up.

BBC reporter Jane Lewis asked after the game: “You’re on this wonderful domestic run, 31 games unbeaten. Now you’re six points clear at the top of the league, it puts Rangers under pressure tomorrow?”

Ange drew a big laugh from host Richard Gordon with his simple response: “All those statements are true, yeah.”

Asked if he understood why the question was asked, Postecoglou continued: “Again, it’s not in my control, it’s not in our control. What was in our control today was to put in a good performance. Everyone knew Ross County were in really good form, we just had to concentrate on ourselves.

“We knew if we played well today and got our three points, we knew what position we’d be in and it’s the position we want to be in.”

Postecoglou is not going to get carried away with Celtic’s position here no matter how much the media want him to. Whatever question is put before him, he’s going to answer it calmly and coolly.

He’s certainly not going to give anyone a headline that Rangers can use for motivation.

One game at a time as always from the manager. One game at a time.

In other news, Tom Rogic was the unlucky one today after referee shocker at Celtic Park.
