Celtic Ange Postecoglou is still refusing to give a specific timeframe on the return of Japanese forward Kyogo Furuhashi but did hint we will see him soon.
Kyogo has been out of action since Boxing Day when he limped off against St Johnstone with a serious hamstring injury.
Similar to the one suffered by David Turnbull, the attacking midfielder’s return to training bodes well for the striker to make a return to full training over the next couple of weeks.
Postecoglou remains coy on it all, but did say today in a press conference [Celtic YouTube]: “Yeah, not sure. We will just wait and see. I said a while back, if you go by timelines Dave got injured before Kyogo so you can read into that what you like.
“He is working through his rehab and I’m sure he will be available soon.”
Kyogo was a sensation in the opening part of the season and it’d be a thrill to see him return fit and motivated for the title run-in.
As Ange says, he’s going through individual rehab work at the moment but is on the pitches at Lennoxtown raising his fitness levels.
It genuinely shouldn’t be too long before he’s back in first-team training. Turnbull has been back with the group for ten days, so unless there are any setbacks, good news is on the horizon.
