As many of you may already know, Celtic are currently hosting the International Coaches Convention at Lennoxtown.
As Hamish pointed out earlier this afternoon, the four-day event kicked off yesterday with the Celtic Women’s side and today, it was the turn of the Celtic first team.
Celtic boss, Ange Postecoglou parked first team business to take time out to present on the work the Soccer Academy is doing.

But it was Ange’s insight into how he works with the staff and players and how he sees football that blew away the Head of Celtic’s Academy, Chris Smith.
Taking to Twitter, Smith said, “I said it last year and I’ll say it again today….. Having the opportunity to listen to Ange Postecoglou talk about how he wants to play football and how he wants to work with his staff and players is absolutely phenomenal!
“Best speaker I’ve listened to by a country mile!
We all know the back story to Ange. We all know how he came to Celtic as a relatively unknown manager who had this brand of football that no one really knew anything about.
Well, two seasons later we certainly know all about it now.
The Celtic manager had been earning plaudits for his attacking style and this season is teed up to be a record-breaking one should the team continue their goal-scoring form.

Chris Smith has over 21 years experience in the game.
Prior to his appointment at Celtic, he was the lead role in deploying the SFA’s Coach Education Program so he knows a thing or two about networking with different managers in the game.
To take the time out to present at this event whilst preparing for a league match at a crucial time of the season is just a touch of class from the Celtic manager.
