Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has confirmed he expects to see outgoings, as he provided an update on the status of Hoops striker Albian Ajeti.

It has been a busy transfer window for the Bhoys, with seven new arrivals joining on a permanent or loan deal to bolster Postecoglou’s squad.

However, focus has also gone into removing some of the deadwood currently at the club, including the likes of Ismaila Soro and Vasilis Barkas.

Whilst some good work has gone into doing that, there still remain some players at the club who have no future going into the 2022/23 campaign.

One of those players is former West Ham striker Albian Ajeti, who has rarely featured in pre-season, with it looking all but certain he will be the next member of the squad heading for the exit door.

Ange Postecoglou provided his latest update on the Hoops transfer plans, stating that he expects more outgoings within the next few weeks and hinted Ajeti could be one of those names.

He said [Sun Sport]: “He has a knee problem but trained in Glasgow when we were over in Poland.

“We will see what happens. There’s still time in this window, and there will be some movement.

“We’ve been active bringing players in, and we’ve probably shifted the dial to now be agile. We’ll be ready to go either way.”

Ange Postecoglou looking to add final touches to his squad ahead of new season.

Most of Ange Postecoglou’s work this summer transfer window has been impressive, and we head into the new season in good shape.

However, with the season set to get underway this weekend, there are still a few more finishing touches the Celtic manager would like to complete.

Alongside a few more additions, moving on the likes of Ajeti would mark a positive transfer window and allow us to move forward from those disappointing deals of the past.

For now, the Hoops appear to have shifted their focus from the incomings to the outcomings. So, you would expect some movement on that front in the new few weeks.
