Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has stated he has no concerns over former Hoops midfielder Tom Rogic as he continues to decide his future.

The 29-year-old received an emotional send-off on the final day of the 2021/22 season after announcing his departure from Parkhead.

Rogic enjoyed an extremely successful nine-year stay in Glasgow, picking up a whole host of trophies and scoring several memorable goals.

Shortly after his exit, the Australian internationalist also announced that he would be pulling out of the Socceroos squad attempting to qualify for the World Cup later this year.

Aussie boss Graham Arnold revealed that he had tried to get in contact with the midfielder. However, he hadn’t received a response from Rogic, leaving him a little concerned.

The former Celtic man has since been spotted back in his homeland as he continues to deliberate where his future is going to lie next season.

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou provided assurances over Rogic, stating he may not have been in contact with anyone, but that is the sort of character he is and that will be the best way to decide his future.

He said [Scottish Daily Express]: “I think Tom’s, fine mate. Has anyone spoken to Tom? No one spoke to him when he was here for ten years either; that’s Tom!

“I’d be more concerned if he was out there talking to people. Leave him alone, he’s fine. He’ll get his next move done, and I’m sure he’s in a great place.

“As far as I know, and I haven’t been in contact with him, but the people I know say that he’s got no problems.”

Tom Rogic will find his move sooner rather than later.

If there is one man who knows exactly the sort of character Rogic is, it is Ange Postecoglou, having worked extensively with the midfielder.

There is no doubt in my mind that Rogic will find himself at a new club within the next few weeks and months, and plenty of sides will be lining up to secure his services.

It would have been great to see him stick around for another season. However, after a long stay at Parkhead, fans have totally respected the player’s decision to take on a new adventure.

Hopefully, his future can be sorted out soon, and we look forward to seeing Rogic produce on a weekly basis for his new club!
