If there is one man that deserves to be praised for this title win, it’s Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou. The gaffer inherited a club fractured by the disappointment of the fabled ten-in-a-row season and galvanised not only the team to become champions again but also the fan’s relationship with the Celtic board.
But all that seems a million miles away now. Since then, Ange has led us to two league championships and two league cups with his team on the brink of a world record eighth domestic treble. It all seemed to get a bit too emotional for the Celtic manager as his interview with Sky Sports below shows.
Ange Postecoglou also paid tribute to his team and humbly said that his job is not the most difficult part of bringing success to the club.
Ange said, “It’s a daily thing. And as I said we won it last year and there’s always a danger that maybe guys get ahead of themselves or complacent. And the first time we got back in preseason, I had a real target to be stronger this year and be a better side.
“And they’ve done it every day. And as I say they’ve just been relentless in their approach and it’s a credit to the staff and players.

“I’ve had the easy bit of just watching these guys maintain a ridiculous standard of football and a fantastic commitment to this football club.”
A very humble response and one that you would expect from the Australian. He is always at pains to credit his players and even when the celebrations are in full flow, he takes a step back to let them enjoy the moment.
You can really see how much this club means to Ange. It’s not very often you see the Celtic manager get emotional during interviews but today we got a glimpse of the man behind that normally cool and calm exterior and it’s a man with a deep affection for Celtic.
