Celtic’s Scottish Cup semi-final is, without doubt, the biggest game of the season so far. With the league title all but wrapped up, the prospect of a potential treble is on as Ange Postecoglou sets his sights on Rangers this weekend.
The main talking point of the week has been the fitness of Jota, Reo Hatate and Liel Abada and Ange has delivered an update on the trio that will delight the Celtic support.
Speaking on Celtic TV, the manager said, “We’ll see how they go. Abada, Jota and Reo are the main three.

“They are due to train all week, so it will just come down to how they go during the training week.
“If they get through the training week, they will be available.
“Everyone got through the weekend okay. It’s only really James Forrest who probably won’t be available come the semi-final.”
Let’s hope training this week goes smoothly and that the three all come out of it unscathed. Because if the Motherwell performance is anything to go by, we will need them to help bring some creativity to the team.
Look, I know how Rangers will set up is be a far cry from how Motherwell approached the Celtic game, but going by the last three Glasgow Derbies, we haven’t really been at our creative best.

Having Jota and Hatate’s vision alongside Abada’s directness will give us plenty of firepower to get the result that we need.
But you do have to feel for James Forrest. The long-serving winger missed out on the league cup final and is now on course to miss another opportunity to add to the 20 winners’ medals he has already collected at the club.
With 14 league appearances to his name, at least he still qualifies for a championship medal at the end of the season as the legendary winger continues to etch his name into Celtic’s history.
