The lowest-ranked side Celtic have ever faced in the Scottish Cup
Celtic have faced a number of sides in the Scottish Cup over the years as the romance of the competition rolls.
As recently as 2016, Celtic faced East Kilbride in the cup and recorded a 2-0 away win at the then Lowland League side.
However, back in 1957, Celtic faced Forres Mechanics in the cup where a record crowd of 7,000 watched Jimmy McGrory’s side romp to a 5-0 win at Mosset Park.
The Highland League side went down to a Billy McPhail second-half hattrick after John Higgins and Neilly Mochan put Celtic 2-0 in front in the first half.
