But now, as Trusty said, the Celtic defender is ‘back’ as he announced his return to training on Instagram.
Trusty said, “Annddd we’re back in action! Feels good to be back on the pitch, and I’m excited to pick up where I left off.”
Whilst Trusty has struggled to stake a claim in the Celtic first-team, having more competition available to Brendan Rodgers will be a welcome boost for the Hoops manager.

Whilst fan opinion on Trusty may be split, the big American has put in some solid performances for Celtic since his £6m move from Sheffield United.
Trusty’s best performance, however, was in Celtic’s draw with Atalanta in the Champions League last season.
Just a few weeks on from a heavy away defeat to Borussia Dortmund, Trusty was solid at the back as he kept the Serie A club at bay to earn Celtic a very impressive away point against the then Europa League holders.
