Celtic’s newly crowned player of the year James Forrest has revealed that he has never once thought about leaving Celtic.
The Hoops are the only team Forrest has ever played for. The winger doesn’t see that changing any time soon.
“Have I ever been tempted to leave? No” he disclosed, as reported by the Scottish Sun.
“I always wanted to stay”

“I think a couple of years ago I had six months left on my contract — that was the closest I came. There was uncertainty but I always wanted to stay.”
Forrest’s admission will delight the Celtic support. He has been an integral part of the Hoops side which has won eight titles in a row.

Game has gone from strength to strength
His game has gone from strength to strength in recent years, which has now been recognised by his fellow professionals.

Forrest will be key man for the Hoops in their remaining matches this season. The match-winner in the last Glasgow derby will be looking to score his first goal at Ibrox when the Hoops take on Rangers on Sunday.
As a player who has scored in more than a few cup finals for the Hoops, Forrest will be a huge player in the upcoming Scottish Cup Final against Hearts.
A few more big performances in those games will end what has been the best season of Forrest’s career in style.
