Celtic head into Sunday’s visit to Kilmarnock looking for a change in fortunes. The Hoops have lost their least two trips to Rugby Park, most recently a 2-1 defeat in September.
Therefore, Brendan Rodgers might be looking to shake things up for the game and give Kilmarnock a surprise.
Surprise first start?
That surprise could be a first Hoops appearance for Vakoun Issouf Bayo. The January signing signed a four-year deal with the Bhoys, which means he is a player who is one with a big future at Celtic.
That future may well start at Rugby Park. It might be asking too much for Bayo to start the game. But he could well make an appearance in the second-half.
Change could play into Celtic’s hands
Kilmarnock won’t know what to expect from the player which could play in Celtic’s hands.
Bayo’s record at his previous team Dunajská Streda was excellent, scoring 18 goals in 23 appearances this season. If the Hoops are looking for a goal late on then Bayo is a more than decent option to have in the squad.
Rodgers will want Bayo to be involved in the Hoops first-team on a regular basis before the end of the season. A good start for the new arrival could be a debut at Rugby Park.
One of the most difficult venues in Scotland is a more than suitable first test for the new Bhoy.
