Celtic fans made their feelings towards Dermot Desmond and the board with a big demonstration before the win over Falkirk last night.
The Celtic Fans Collective announced that a demonstration was planned against the Parkhead board and called for supporters heading to the Falkirk game to gather at the main entrance to the stadium.
Images from the Celtic fan protest emerged last night which showed hundreds of fans assembling to make their voices heard.
And attending the event, BBC reporter Martin Dowden shared what he witnessed and he said it looked like there were ‘thousands’ not hundreds of Celtic supporters with one ‘unsavoury incident’ taking place.

The ‘unsavoury incident’ witnessed by BBC’s Martin Dowden at Celtic fan board protest
Celtic fans are deeply unhappy with the Parkhead board and after Brendan Rodgers’ resignation and Dermot Desmond’s statement, the support gathered in their ‘thousands’ as BBC reporter Martin Dowden shared what he witnessed at the event.
Dowden said on BBC Radio Scotland, “It’s just dispersing as I speak. I would say it’s hard to judge numbers, but it was a sizeable crowd, probably in the 1000s rather than the hundreds.
“They were singing, of course, sack the board. There were a number of chants directed at the principal shareholder, Dermot Desmond, particularly, probably off the back of his statement regarding Brendan Rodgers the other day.
“I did see one unsavoury incident where an object was thrown and hit off the glass doors at Celtic Park.
“But that quickly died away. The crowd now dispersing, but certainly making their feelings known in front of that main stand.”
Celtic Fans Collective’s statement about demonstration with strong message to the board
The morning after the event, the Celtic Fans Collective have released a statement about the board protest and sent Desmond and Co a strong message.
The statement read on X, “Apologies to anyone who couldn’t hear our speakers due to PA issues last night. In the end, the numbers spoke for themselves – thousands made their voices heard loud and clear.
“Thank you for standing together and for amplifying the message.
“They’ve got to go.”
It appears that the appetite to remove certain people on the Celtic board has only grown and that has been fuelled by the club’s handling of Brendan Rodgers’ resignation.
