BBC Scotland are set to air a special Celtic programme looking back on a brilliant season under the management of Ange Postecoglou.

The Australian arrived in Scottish football last summer to derision and criticism, taking on a much-fancied Rangers side in the Scottish Premiership.

He brilliantly turned the fortunes of the Bhoys around and powered the club to a title win, against expectations.

Now BBC Scotland are set to review the campaign with highlights and input from pundits such as Michael Stewart, Packie Bonner and Leanne Crichton.

Titled ‘How The League Was Won’, the glossy trailer shows it was specially filmed after the culmination of the season, rather than being a hastily put together effort in the Sportscene studios.

It should be a great Friday watch for anyone not lucky enough to be enjoying a night out! It will also be on iPlayer for anyone who misses the live broadcast at 10:30pm tomorrow.

We’re barely two weeks removed from the end of the Celtic season and if you’re anything like me, you’re already counting down the days to the team’s return.

Speculation and discussion has already shifted to the kind of work Postecoglou will do in the summer transfer window, but this will be a good opportunity to reflect on what the 2021/22 group achieved.

The manager brought together a whole new team, with players arriving from different backgrounds and cultures, all to achieve one goal.

Some of the football was exceptional, the goals thrilling and the achievement forever memorable.

Regardless of what happens during the Postecoglou reign from this point on, we’ll never forget this one.
