Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Jack Hendry is unlikely to be leaving the club.
The ankle injury suffered by centre-back Filip Benkovic has put paid to that.
It was thought that at one stage that Hendry would leave.

The Daily Mail reported that the player was available on loan in January.
But the Benkovic injury has changed all this.
“Filip’s injury could change the plan for Jack. I need to ensure our squad is covered before anyone else’s,” Rodgers disclosed to the Express.

Rodgers also confirmed to Sky Sports the length of Benkovic’s injury – “He is probably going to be four to six weeks.”
With a key defender set to miss so many games it makes sense for Hendry to be granted a Celtic reprieve.

That doesn’t mean that he will feature in the side more though.
The Hoops are already covered at the back with Jozo Simunovic, Kristoffer Ajer and Dedryck Boyata when he returns from injury.
Nir Bitton can also play at centre-back, and has done for the Hoops in the past.
Hendry has only featured 14 times for the Hoops this season.
Despite this, he could still be a useful player to have around as the games come thick and fast for the Hoops.
