Filip Benkovic says he is unsure whether he will be returning to Celtic next season or not.
The 21-year-old Croatian’s year-long loan spell will end after Saturday’s Scottish Cup final against Hearts. He has previously spoken about wanting to return north of the border but Leicester City are believed to have plans for the man they paid £13million for in 2018.

Benkovic admits he doesn’t know where he’ll be playing his football next year.
Speaking to Croatian site Sportske Novosti he said: “I can’t talk about it at this point because nothing is known yet. And it will not be known for some time, probably only after all my international duties this summer.
“But I’ve really enjoyed being at Celtic, I have had some great moments here, I have had a successful season, enjoyed my football and I will never regret it.”

No time to waste
Benkovic will be in the Croatian national squad for the matches against Wales (8th June) and Tunisia (11th June). Celtic will head out for their tour of Austria on around June 20th so there may not be much time for Benkovic to rejoin the club.
The Hoops must act quickly and efficiently in any dealings this summer. The manager’s arrival and subsequent turnaround before our first competitive fixture in July is so small and everything may need to be crammed in.

Celtic may not have time to wait for the likes of Benkovic to sort out their future. They may have to force the issue and sign players who can come in and get used to the new manager’s way of playing from the very start.
