Celtic supporters have been reacting on social media to the prospect of Beram Kayal returning to Parkhead.
The Israeli was quoted by the Daily Record as stating that he would love to come back to the club this season and help secure 10-in-a-row.

Kayal was previously with Celtic from 2010-2015 before leaving for Brighton after struggling to get consistent game-time under Ronny Deila. However, with the player now looking for a new club, Kayal wants a return up north.
The club’s supporters have been reacting to the battle-hardened midfielder’s words on Twitter, and unfortunately not many share his desire for him to come back to Celtic Park. Here’s a look at some of the reaction:

Just not the right type of player Celtic need
I’m the same as many others in the support – this just isn’t the kind of deal we need to do at this moment in time.
At 32, Kayal is now unfortunately past his best, and only made seven appearances on loan with Charlton last season (Transfermarkt).
If you take the sentimental aspect away from this idea, would we really be looking at a player who failed to make an impression in the Championship last season? A player who hasn’t managed regular football in over a year? The short answer is no.
Yet even if Kayal could add something to the squad, he would be arriving in a position that is already arguably overcrowded.

Scott Brown, Callum McGregor, Olivier Ntcham, David Turnbull, Ismaila Soro, and Nir Bitton can all operate in centre-midfield. Luca Connell, Kerr McInroy, and Scott Robertson will all be looking for more minutes this season too.
Kayal has the quality to stay in Britain, and could actually be quite the coup for another club in Scotland if he was open to moving to an Aberdeen or Hibernian for example.
But Celtic? Sorry Beram, it just isn’t viable.
In other news, new Celtic signing Shane Duffy has spoken for the first time about moving to Parkhead.
