Kick-off and ticket details have been confirmed for the upcoming Scottish Cup semi-final between Celtic and Rangers at Hampden.

Ange Postecoglou‘s Hoops are two matches away from cup glory, with many believing victory over our rivals could virtually secure a domestic treble this season.

The Scottish FA have today confirmed that the game will take place on Sunday 30 April, with kick-off at 1:30pm.

That is roughly what we predicted in an article yesterday.

The other semi-final, between Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Falkirk, will take place on Saturday 29 April at 12:15pm.

Both matches will be shown live on Viaplay, with the BBC also having rights to Inverness vs Falkirk.

Along with the match details, ticket information was also released and there’s some better news for Celtic fans.

All ticket types are reduced in price from the recent League Cup final between the sides at Hampden Park.

On that occasion, Celtic fans in sections I, H and D were asked to fork out £44 with no reduced prices for under 16s or over 65s.

This time round, adult tickets for the same sections are £38 with under 16s and over 65s getting in for £18.

In the traditional Celtic end (East Stand), adult tickets cost £28. For the final the same ticket would have set you back £39.

Now, £38 is still pretty steep for 90 minutes of football, but it is nonetheless nice to see prices come down. £28 for a seat behind the goal seems more than reasonable for a game of this magnitude.

Of course, this fixture would sell out if the tickets cost £138 each. And I’m not even joking.

Bring it on. Only six and half weeks to go.
